Social Media Pie – Getting Any?

Here is my monthly contribution to Adotas Magazine. After attending ad:tech in New York last week, it really struck me that companies still aren’t thinking about social media as marketing strategy. That’s a mistake. Read my thoughts on it.

    Scott,

    What’s your background? I always assumed you had a degree in computers or something, but based on that article, it sounds like you’re more business/advertising minded. Just wondering. Thanks!

    I actually have a bachelor’s degree in broadcast production and a master’s in policy studies. Up until the this past May my fulltime gig was working in the software industry. Now I am living my dream and working in the new media space. There is a certainly a business side to it.

    Interesting article, I do agree with it. Being a business owner with a limited marketing budget social media is a God sent. I am able to use the resources to get the “word of mouth” rolling. here is another link that you might be interested in:
