Scott,
In regards to Palin resigning, here’s an interesting take. http://stonezone.com. “Palin’s Plan”. Although I don’t want to necessarily compare her much with Nixon because of the bad taste that leaves in people’s mouths.
Great show,

Definitely an interesting take. I guess we’ll see if her strategy pays off.
I have my doubts (obviously) – she was seen by many in her own party as unqualified to be Vice president last year. Now she resigns without getting anymore experience and thinks she’ll be able to move right up to the Presidency?
Just don’t see it.

I’m with you 1000% the family shouldn’t have had control of any of the tickets if it was truly a “public memorial”

In every funeral I’ve heard of, the deceased’s estate should pay for the funeral expenses IN THEIR ENTIRETY. And if the deceased didn’t have enough money (which I HIGHLY doubt was the case with Jackson), the closest family members foot the bill.
…But what do I know?

Jim: Actually Micheal’s estate is apparently in a state of debt or at least a complete financial mess. However I don’t agree at all that the government needs to cover the expenses for a celebrity’s funeral.
