Bro’ you brought me to tears on that one. I have “Pete” the wonderdog, and I will hurt the same when she goes.

    Hang in there Scott…

Scott my heart aches for you. It’s been more than 10 years since Ben (my very own Alsatian wonder dog) passed away and I’m not ashamed to say I’m sat crying along with you remembering him. I hope that you and your family are as ok as you can be at this sad and upsetting time. My thoughts are with you

I have always enjoyed hearing you talk about Mia. My husband and I both cried after hearing about your loss. Mia certainly had the best, most wonderful life you could have given her.

Thank you for sharing all your beautiful stories with us. You have many, many fans that adore you and your family.

Keep your chin up; we’re all here for you.

  5. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the amazing sentiments of support regarding Mia. It’s obviously a very difficult time for me – and that came out in spades on this episode. I waffled on even releasing it. The wonderful things that you guys have shared with me about your own journeys and feelings tell me that I made the right decision to share my pain.

Thank you all so much for that.

    Happy New Year.

Scott: I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. Dogs do seem to understand what we need and give it to us.

I understand your feelings. I lost one of my dogs a few months ago and I still miss him, especially when I run across a photo of him.

No need to be embarrassed about expressing real emotion. Your tribute was very touching.

I had to write something, man, but I am at a loss for words. You share so much with us, the listeners of your show, about your life, your work, and your family, that we all know and care for you in a way not a lot of podcasters could even claim to have from their listening audience.
You I count as a friend, Scott, and any pain you feel, I share. My condolences for your loss.

I cried so much on my way to work, people thought I was on drugs because my eyes were so red. Thanks a lot. ;)
I am so sorry for your loss. I really hope you feel better. I know this is cliche, but time really does heal all. It doesn’t seem like it at the moment, but when you look back, it really does.

    Scott,

My thoughts are with you & your family during this sad time…
The loss of your dog is one of the hardest things to ever go through in this life…My wonder dog, Chia passed away in 2008 – I had her for 16 years & it was just me & her for a good amount of that time. When she passed on something inside of me died too.

Cherish your memories & your photos of your wonder dog, Mia & allow yourself time to grieve.
I found this great website called “I Remember Love” – it helped me so much when I lost my Chia.
Also, next time you’re back in NH visiting family you should take some time to visit the Dog Chapel at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, VT – I visited the Dog Chapel when Chia passed away & I posted a memorial to her on the chapel wall – it was a very healing experience. Again, I am so sorry for your loss & know we, the listeners are here for you.
    Take time for yourself.

    Hey Scott,

Just finished listening to the Dec 31st show this morning. My deepest sympathy for your loss. It seems the latter part of 2009 had been a difficult time for you and your family, for a number of reasons, ending with Mia’s passing away. My wife and I have two Shih Tzu’s, a 4 year old male and a 5 year old female – our first dogs ever, and they are family to us. So we can certainly relate and we truly sympathize.

Your show is more than just entertainment. It is a personal connection. Loosing American Cliche would be like loosing a long time friend. Thanks for keeping it going.

I challenge every listener of the show to each give only $1 – not even the price of a Stabucks coffee – just once, just this one time, to support your show. I would like the list of names too long to be named on your next episode.

Wishing you the best for 2010!

    Scott,
That was one hell of a show! My deepest sympathies to your family and to you. I know the grieving process is very difficult especially if you were not able to say good bye.
Pets can teach us so much about life and humanity, it is so hard to see them go, because they are part of the family despite what others may say. I wish you the best! Stay strong! Much Love.

I’m getting caught up on my AC episodes. I am so sad to hear that Mia passed. I have 4 dogs myself and our dogs are definitely children. My condolences to you and Kim.

    Ben
